The woman is blind,
this woman in green.she always has been.she can't imagine the color of her clothes,know the slate of sky and sea
nor the fire-fed ruby of a rose.her mind can have no meaning for them,
her world no conceivable space;
yet she will pour a pitcher of laughter
at all you fickle artists just the sameand splash color about in her own way.

A lovely illustration of our own blindness in labelling others 'disabled'. There really are no boundaries I guess. Just the limitations of our own perceptions. Good pic too.
nice abstract view of blindness - she could be just sitting there depressed for all she's missing but she can still enjoy life's mysteries. I agree with Magdalene - good view of the disabled and the photo is stark, yet something about her posture, the colors......and of course the poem all go together in a most excellent way!
Thanks! Just a reminder, I wrote the poem but got the picture off the Internet. Don't want to take credit for that, although I agree it goes perfectly with the poem. I had the poem written first and stumbled on the photo in someone's (gnato's) online gallery and only at that point decided to put a picture with the poem. I think it came out the better for it.
Btw, I don't know if anyone noticed this, but the woman is not in green, she is wearing black.
