This is just plain weird. Heath and I were looking at Venetian masks online 2 days ago. A lot look like these (for men).

I love the idea of masked balls, don't you? It would be a great way to have fun without worrying about being embarrassed.
I wonder if the long nose is some sort of phallic symbol? Undoubtedly it is, given what we know about the prominence of such in earlier times.
