All money these days (at least for our class) is earned from some job whether you do it yourself or not. You can maintain your dignity by doing a ethical job well done--that's all you really have control over (gosh, I sound like my mom).
Find something you like about your job and latch onto it. Find the bit of reward in helping someone in someway no matter what the job description --that's how I find meaning in it all; at least in the workplace.
But then I don't know if you really need that intrinsic value like I do.
