sírok, mint a fürdo"s kurva

why do we pray with our eyes closed
with our most important sense cut off
and in the silence of a church
so we can't hear a thing?

is it so we'll commune somehow
beyond the real world that we deny
with a being we've heard of all our lives
but have never actually seen?

why do we pray at all?
nothing ever changes for the good
or if it does one place
in another case a person gets screwed

i only trust in what I can see
hear, taste, touch, and feel
and i don't even trust those senses
half of the time

guess that's why we don't pray - meditate, know yourself for good and bad, accept that we are just who we are - nothing more. the only thing that seems true.
