Who says a cow cannot philosophize? How in their empty labors can they not?
It seems natural.

Cow philosophy is in Cowlish, not English so many of us have trouble understanding it. Some of those among us that are more favored by the COW GODS do understand it, but they usually do not share it with those of us who are less favored. But that is the burden we must cow -- er bear.

Are you sure this isn't a deleted scene from "Brokeback Mountain"? Wonder what's going on behind the cow?

Aw, I believe this is Cowluthien from the Valar......see the way his head is tilted up towards the sky keeping it shining? Great photo.....he must have been in Switzerland when the skies were darkening from neutrality...? Still neutral and I'd live in his realm if I could. Yavanna

It is a simple cow, no god or being of great wisdom. But from his perch in the rich grass fields above Interlaken, he calmly chews his cud and wonders what many a cow before him has wondered: Is there anything more that this, or is this itself the point?

Or maybe there's something in that cud that keeps him deeply in thought ~ has existence figured out ~ ... goes to the Cowlands to nap, wakes up, and starts all over again.
